Dear friends, after a long search I found news about the ship La Plata. It was built in 1882 as MOOR. Sold to the RMSC in 1901 it was renamed LA PLATA. Can anyone give me news about this ship (see scan) that on this stamp of Montserrat is reported as LA PLATA (1901)?
Is it the RMS LA PLATA or LA PLATA of the French Messagerie Maritime?

I think the ship depicted on the Canadian stamp is the SS Sardinian.

Morning, The matter has been resolved by Auke Palmhof and Oliver Eric. These their answers: I believe the vessel depict letter card of Gibraltar is the STRATHAIRD or STRAITHEDEN of the P&O, sisterships built with three funnels, two were removed later. There are many pages on the internet on this...
