Re: Star of India

There are two different ”Star of India” on stamps. In addition to the ship from 1863 we also have the “Star of India”(1861), built at A. Stephen & Sons, Dundee for Somes Brothers. For more details see Watercraft Philately (WP) vol 30 No 3 (nov-Dec 1983) and http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.an...

Re: Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2)

As a new user I have not learned how to attach illustrations. I give here the numbers (Michel, Stanley Gibbons and Scott) to QE II-stamps which is not given earlier. Re: KOREA SUN

Thank you!
As "Korea Sun" she was included in my "Norvegian Shipslist" since she was norwegian owned from 1989, but as "Korea Star" she has to be excluded.

Re: KOREA SUN

HB 156 Watercraft on Stamps gives KOREA STAR (1976) for this ship. What is correct?

Re: Hope

I have noted a reference to an article in "The Stamp Magazine" (year not known) about "The Karran Fleet", saying that "Hope" was sold "it is thought to the Norwegians. Anyone with more information?

Re: PEQUENA

This ship was named "Pequena" only for one year (1912), and sailed later under many different names. I have tried, but so far with no success, to verify that it was this ship under her first name which was used in the waters around Tristan da Cunha from 1948-1954. http://www.warsailors.com...

Re: Soltai 7

I´m working with "norvegiana ships" and have made an early note that Soltai 7 is norwegian built. Is there any more information around?
