Hoi Houw (Sea Queen)

Hoi Houw (Sea Queen), a motorship of 3,394 gross tons, 1,959 net and 3,275 deadweight, owned by Skibs A/S Corona of Haugesund, Norway. She was built by Helsingborgs Varf. A/B, at Helsingborg. With a length. of 341 ft. 3 in., breadth 46 ft. 2 in. and draft 18 ft. 10V2 in., she has two decks and a Burmeister and Wain oil engine, twostroke cycle, single-acting, seven cylinders, 500 mm. dia., 1100 mm. stroke. Her service route is Whampoa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Swettenham, Christmas Island. She made her first voyage to the island on May. 14, 1959, and carries general cargo and passengers to and from Singapore.SG39

In 1974 sold to Kwok Shipping Co., Panama, renamed in AFFLUENT COUNTRY, 1976 to Kam Fai Shipping Co., Panama as KAM FAI, 1979 to Mandarin Shipping Co., Panama as MANDARIN, 1984 scrapped by Chi Young Steel Enterprise Co., Kaohsiung.
