VALERIAN HMS. Sloop Built by C Rennoldson and commissioned by the Royal Navy 21
February 1916.
Flower class of the Arabis type, of which ten were built.
1250 tonnes Standard. 1373 tonnes full load. L267' B33. Dr11'.
Triple expansion steam engine. 2000ihp. Single screw. Speed 15knots.
Armament consisted of Two 4". Four 3pdr. Two 2pdr guns. Crew 106.
Wrecked by a hurricane 22 October 1926 on her way from Nassau to Bermuda when water entered the ship, her engines stopped, boilers exploded and she sank with the loss of 4
officers and 82 men.
