This landing craft was built in Tarawa Kiribati by Betio Boatyard in 1978 for the Shipping Corporation of Kiribati. She is used for the transportation of General Cargo and heavy equipment from Tarawa to the outer islands, and brings copra to Tarawa. She sometimes engages on Ferry runs between Betio/Bairiki.
