Oceanographic Survey and Research vessel.
Built 1976 at Abo, Laivatrdlisuus, Finland.
Gross tonnage 681. Net 97. deadweight 364.
Length 55.66m. Beam 9.53m. Draught 4.17m. Diesel engines. Ice strengthened. Speed 12 knots.

Built as a research vessel under yard No 701 by Khabarovskiy Kirova, Khabarovsk, USSR for the Russian Government.
Launched under the name VULKANOLOG, one of the Valerian Uryvayev class of which 14 have been built.
Tonnage 681 gross, 85 net, 364 dwt. Dim. 55.66 x 9.52 x 5.19m. Draught 4.17m.
Powered by a 6-cyl Karl Liebknecht diesel engine, 875 bhp. one controllable pitch propeller, speed 11.5 knots.
One bow thruster.
Ice strengthened.
26 November 1976 completed.

She was registered at Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka, managed by the Academy of Sciences.
Between 1982 and 1985 she did a lot of research in gas venting from the sea bottom in the Sea of Okhotsk.

2010 as given by www.equasis.org in service. IMO No. 7642778, managed and owned by the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladivostok, Russia.

2010 out of service and scrapped.
