NANTAKU MARU

The mailboat depict on this stamp is most probably the Japanese vessel NANTAKU MARU.

Built as a cargo passenger ship by Tochigi Shoji K.K. at Wakamatsu Japan for Fujimura Shosen.
Launched as the YONE MARU No 8.
Tonnage 321 gross, 132 net. Dim. 39.62 (bpp) x 7.01 x 3.66m.
Powered by an oil engine, ?hp. Speed 11.5 knots.
October 1932 delivered to owners.

1937 Sold to Fukso Ryutaro at Kochi, Japan and renamed NATAKU MARU.
20 September 1943 bombed by Allied aircraft in position 01 25N 137.00E (Tarawa Atoll) and lost.

Not any details on the small launch.
