KÖNINGIN CAROLA paddle steamer

For the 175th commemoration of the Sächsisch-Böhmische Dampfschiffahrts Gesellschaft (SBDG) the German post issued in 2011 a mint sheet of 2.20 Euro, which shows use some paddle steamers belonging to the company.
The only paddle steamer I can identify is the vessel left under in the margin of the sheet she is the KÖNIGIN CAROLA.

On 08 July 1836 twelve citizen of Dresden got the privilege from King Friedrich August II of Saxony to establishing a steamship company in the Kingdom of Saxony.
The first ship built for the company was the KÖNIGIN MARIA, designed by Andreas Schubert who entered service on 30 July 1837.

The company who still exist has services today which stretch from Dresden to Schesslitz at Meissen and Bad Schandau in Saxon, Switzerland and sometimes to the Czech Republic.

The paddle steamer was built by the Werft Blasewitz, Dresden for the Sächische-Bohmische-Dampfschiffahrt Gesellschaft (SBDG).
1886 Launched under the name KÖNINGIN CAROLA (Queen Carola). One sister the KRONPRINZ WILHELM
Dimensions 60.5 x 11.2 x 0.54 m. (draught empty)
Powered by a 2-cyl composite steam engine, 230 hp, speed 12km/h.
Crew 4.

1912 Converted, a new two flame tube cylindrical boiler fitted in, the steam engine was converted to a compound steam engine, a steam turbine generator fitted in for electric power, and the illumination was switched to electric lights.
1919 Renamed in DIESBAR.
1926 Was she lengthened by 3.7m. and equipped with a steam heating system, also an upper deck and a rear saloon. The draft increased to 0.74m.
The eleven wooden blades of the paddle wheels were replaced by steel plates.
The green and white painted hull was changed to full white

1927 Renamed in PILLNITZ.
During World War II the PILLNITZ and four other ships of the company were used to evacuation the victims of the Allied bombing on Hamburg. During that time she was painted in a camouflage colour.
1945 When in Dresden she was damaged by the effects of war.
From 1952 until 1956 she carried the name WELTFRIEDEN (World peace).

1948 The company was liquidated and renamed in Elbeschiffahrt Sachsen and managed till 1956 by the Gesellschaft Deutsche Schiffahrts-und Umschlagsbetriebszentrale (DSU).
1955 Upperdeck lengthened with 3 metres and paddle boxes renewed.
1956 The company was renamed VEB Farhgastschiffahrt Weisse Flotte Dresden.
1962 Received a new boiler room and a new electrical system.
1966 The machinery overhauled and a new forward deck saloon built.
Between 1981 and 1983 out of service due to boiler damage, at that time she under went a major overhaul. Deck saloon and wheelhouse renewed, the technical facilities modernized. Funnel and also the installation for lowering of the funnel when passing under bridges was renewed. She received a new boiler with the same capacity of the old one and a new fire-pump was installed.

1992 The company after reunification of the two Germans was taken over by Treuhand where after she was sold to Conti-Reederei in Putzbrunn near Munchen (Munich).
The company was renamed in Sächsische Dampfschiffahrts-GmbH & Co. Conti Elbschiffahrts KG.
The ships of the new named company were reconditioned outside to there old glory on yards in Laubegast and Genthin between 1992 - 1993.
She received her name PILLNITZ back.

2011 In service on the River Elbe, passenger capacity 254 and 4 crew.
