FAR WEST. Missouri River.
Sternwheeler.
Built at Pittsburgh, PA in 1870 for Capt S B Coulson and became a famed riverboat for the Upper Missouri.
She was 190' in length with a beam of 33'. Engine. 15's-5'. 3 boilers.
Was connected with the ill-fated Custer expedition and was up to the Little Yellowstone River. Made 18 trips to Fort Benton in Montana.
On 30 october 1883 she sank on a snag at Mullanthy Island, seven miles below St Charles, MO
