Many of the old inland boats of Sweden have lost their function and the types and how they were built have been long forgotten. But some of the types have been documented and now appear on stamps.
KYRKEKA Church boat (Kyrka = Church. Eka same word as used for the oak tree) KYRKEKAN (N states the definite article as the, ie; and or one EKA but the EKAN) from lake Asnen in province Smaland in the south of Sweden and used by farmers and their families far voyages to and from church.
