Many of the old inland boats of Sweden have lost their function and the types and how they were built have been long forgotten. But some of the types have been documented and now appear on stamps.
KYRKBAT Churchboat from lake Lockne in province Jamtland in the north of Sweden. Several places in Sweden had church boats to bring people to the church. Some of them were very long and large with many pairs of oars. The boar: on this stamp could even be used as a sailing boat and so is square rigged with one mast.
