ZUBR pusher tug

For the transport of gravel by barges in the Warsaw region on the River Vistula a total of 26 pusher tugs to push the barges used for the transport of the gravel were built.
Due to the shallow river the draught could be not greater than 0.75cm, length of the tug and barges not more as 82 metre with a wide due to dimensions of the lock in Zeran of not more as 8.50 metre.

The prototype built on the stamp was the ZURB-II built on the Warszawska Stocznia Rzeczna Warsaw (River Shipyard) at Warsaw.

August 1960 trials.
Dim. 19.84 x 6.00 x 0.70m. (draught).
Powered by two 4-cyl. diesel engines, each 90 hp.
Two rudders and two screws, speed 9 km/h
Crew 4 to 6.

After delivery in 1960 she was managed by Przedsicbiorstwo Panstwowe Warszawska Zegluga (State Enterprise Shipping), Warsaw and used on the River Vistula.
1964 Transferred to Przedsicbiorstwo Panstwove Zegluga Warszawska (The National Shipping Company), Warsaw and renamed ZUBR-W-02
1971 Fitted with new engines, 6-cyl. 3D6 manufactured in the Soviet Union, 300 hp.
1988 Out of service, fate unknown.
