DABUR CLASS patrol vessels.

The craft depict on this stamp of Chile issued in 1993 is one of the Dabur Class patrol boats bought from Israel, which patrol boat is depict is not sure, but 8 units were delivered to Chile.
The first 10 units were built by Swiftships Inc., New Orleans, Louisiana from 1973 for the Israeli Navy.
Tonnage: 35 ton standard, 45 tons full load. Dim. 19.8 x 5.8 x 0.8m.(draught)
Powered by two General Motors type 12V71 TI diesel, 960 bhp., speed 29 knots maximum.
Range on maximum speed 540 mile.
Armament 2 – 20mm Oerlikon and 2 – 12.7mm machine guns.
Crew 6 – 10 men.

More units were later built in Israel.
She were used in the Yom Kippur War in October 1973, but her primary task were the patrol of the Israeli waters in the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
When a new class of patrol boats was built in Israel the surplus boats were sold to other navies.
1991 Eight units were sold to the Chilean Navy.
03 January 1991 the first units were commissioned in the Chilean Navy, the first was the DIAZ (LPC-1814).
Used as a coastal patrol boat, search and rescue, also maintenance the maritime signalling and water pollution.
2012 The eight units are still in service by the Chilean Navy.
