LCT 710 HMS

The stamp shows us two Landing Craft (Tank) LCT 710 and 858 unloading a Bren gun carrier on Gold Beach on 06 June 1944 during Operation Neptune. Stanley Gibbons give LCT 170 which is wrong.

LCT 710 was ordered on 23 April 1942 by the Royal Navy as one of the Mark 4 type.
08 April 1943 launched as the LCT 710.
Displacement 586 ton, dim. 57.07 x 11.81 x 1.12m. (draught forward)
Powered by two Davey Paxman diesel engines 920 bhp, twin shafts, speed 8 knots.
Armament 2 – 20mm Oerlikon AA guns.
Crew 12.

She took part in the D-Day landings on 06 June 1944 on Normandy.
Then she disappears in history and fate unknown.
