Built as a double hulled Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FSOP) vessel, by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co Ltd., China for ConocoPhillips China Inc.
01 March 2005 contract was signed.
06 November 2005 first steel was cut.
11 February 2006 first section put down.
08 December 2006 launched as the HAI YANG SHI YOU 117.
Tonnage 233,030 grt, 70,462 nrt, 286,480 dwt. Dim. 323 x 63 x 32.5m., draught 20m.
Powered: The vessel is designed with two engine rooms one forward and one aft, most probably the engines in use are only for the power of the plant and not for propelling the ship, and to move the ship she need tugboats.
30 April 2007 named.
01 May 2007 the hull was delivered.

She was then towed to the Sembawang Shipyard Pte. Ltd., Singapore for outfitting.
Oil production 30,216 cubic meter a day.
On the living quarter on the fore end of the ship a helicopter deck fitted.
Accommodation for 140 persons.
24 November 2008 completed and christened the same day by Mrs. Hilde Johansen on the sail away day.
She was at that time Chinas largest of that type and the most expensive ship China ever has built.
Building cost estimated 3.5 billion Renmibi.
She was towed to Bohai PL-193 block in the China Sea.
May 2009 her first oil was produced.
2013 In service, same name and owners, IMO No 9349148. Under China flag and registry.
