On this postcard issued in 2010 by Russia is depict Nikolai Ivanovich Studenetsky 1910-1996 head of the ministry of expedition fishery in 1951 – 1964, and a fish factory ship given by Mr. Sitnikov as the BALTIYSKAYA SLAVA (Baltic Glory).
On Mr. Studenetsky I have not more info, on the fish factory vessels I got.
Built as fish factory mother ship as one of Project 7394 under yard No 1184 by the Kieler Howaldtswerke, Kiel for USSR government managed by GP Management Zapryba MPX, Kaliningrad, Russia.
07 May 1966 launched as the BALTIYSKAYA SLAVA, seven sisters.
Tonnage 16,357 grt, 11,030 net, 10,833 dwt., dim. 167.27 x 24.06m, length bpp. 153.6m
One 6-cyl. MAN diesel engine, manufactured by builder.
17 November 1966 completed.
Used as a mother ship for trawlers, and producing the catch of this trawlers in frozen fish-produce, also preserving fish in salt in barrels, production of fish meal etc.
1995 Transferred to A/O Reftransflot, Kaliningrad.
2000 Transferred to OOO “Somark, Kaliningrad.
08 February 2001 arrived at Alang, India for breaking up.
