Built in 1941-'43 by Cammell Laird Shipyard, Birkenhead for the Royal Navy.
Destroyer, displacement:2505 max. L:110,60m. B:10,90m. draft:4,40m. 2 Admiralty boilers, 2 Parsons geared turbines:40,000 hp. 2 shafts, 37 kn.
Armament:4-4,5" guns, 2x2-40 mm. AA, 8-20 mm. AA, 8-21" torpedo tubes, crew:230.
01-10-1945 transferred to the Royal Netherlands Navy, renamed in Hr. Ms. KORTENAER",
scrapped in 1963 by Van Heyghen, Gent, Belgium.
