Built by Federal Shipbuilding, Kearny, New Jersey, laid down 02-10-1941, launched 03-05-1942, commissioned 30-06-1942.
Destroyer of the 'Fletcher' class, displacement:2050/2924 tons, loa:114,73m. B:12,06m. Draft:4,20m. General Electric geared turbines:60.000 hp. 2 shafts, 38 kn. range:6500 nm/15 kn. crew:273.
Armament 5 x 5"/38AA, 2 x 40mm, 6 x 20mm AA, 10 x 21" tt.(2x5).
Decommissioned January 15 1947 and recommissioned October 3 1949.
Reclassified DDE-445 March 26 1949 and back to DD-445 June 30 1962.
Decommissioned October 1 1969.
Stricken October 1 1969.
Fate Sold February 22 1972 and broken up for scrap.
