Built in 1884 by Werft Blasewitz for the Sächsische Dampfschiffahrts GmbH, Dresden as PILLNITZ.
Sidewheel river steamer, displacement? L:52,70m. B:10,06m. Draught:0,79m. empty,
Lancashire boiler, 2 cyl. oscillating engine:110 hp. built in 1841 by J. Penn & Son, Greenwich, ex PS STADT MEISSEN and ex PS BOHEMIA, fuel consumption: coal, 450 kg./h. speed: 12 km/h upstream, 14 km/h downstream.

1884:Launched as the single-deck steamer PILLNITZ on 15 May 1884. The vessel features a particularly elegant interior.
1927:Name changed to DIESBAR.
1949:The wooden paddle wheel buckets are replaced by steel buckets.
1978 :The vessel is taken out of service and put in long-term layup. Repairs start on the hull and the engine.
1985:Comprehensive refurbishment at the Laubegast shipyard. The steamer is formally designated as a technical landmark.
1986:Partial completion of the comprehensive overhaul. The ship is displayed in static fashion at Dresden Terrassenufer, as part of the 150 year anniversary of steam navigation on the Elbe.
1989:Return to service after completion of the comprehensive overhaul at the Laubegast shipyard. The steamer re-enters service on 7 October 1989.
1992 - 1993 :Additional technical repairs and improvements are made.
