Interested in Ships and Stamps? The Ship Stamp Society is an international society and publishes it’s journal, Log Book, six time a year.

The editor of Log book will retire this coming August and, unless a new one comes forward, the society will close.
With this in mind, we are not taking in any new members.
This is an unfortunate situation but seemingly unavoidable.

Built in 1862 at La Ciotat for Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes, Marseille.
Cargo/passenger ship, barque rigged, Gt:1484, Dw:2066 tons, L:84m. B:9.40m. 2 cyl. steam engine, 12.5 kn. passengers:100.
Service to the Near East, later to the Indian Ocean.
In 1871 legthened in Marseille, Gt:1936, L:92m. 3 cyl. high pressure steam engine:1600 hp.
In 1888 sold to Cie. Hon. J. C. Ellis, Sydney, renamed JUBILEE, service Australia - New Zealand, in 1889 sold to J. P. Franki, Sydney, service Austalia - Tasmania - New Zealand,
1898 scrapped in Sydney.
