BRAVE CHALLENGER is a 31.39m luxury yacht, built by Vosper and delivered in 1960. Her top speed is 60.0kn and comfortably cruises at an exhilarating 44 knots. She boasts a maximum cruising range of 2000.0nm at 10.0kn with power coming from three 4250.0hp Rolls Royce PROTEUS codag engines. She can accommodate up to 10 people with 5 crew members waiting on their every need. She can carry around 26,600 of diesel on-board in her fuel tanks. Her water tanks store around 2,650 litres of fresh water.
She was designed by Peter Du Cane, and the interior design was created by Prof. Cäsar Pinnau.
BRAVE CHALLENGER was built in 1958 as a private yacht for Stavros Niarchos who required (and received) what is believed to have been the fastest yacht in the world at that time.
Based on the Vosper Brave Class patrol boats, but not a conversion, the vessel represents the height of marine technology of the 1950s and 1960s.  She incorporates original design features including hull construction, propulsion systems and propeller design.
A major refit was undertaken in 1980 when an enclosed bridge and cruise diesels were added. BRAVE CHALLENGER is the 7th fastest yacht in the world.
The vessel is still intact but requires extensive refurbishment of mechancial and electrical systems, and her superstructure requires urgent repairs.
