Post by aukepalmhof » Thu Oct 25, 2018 8:07 pm

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a Caribbean small island State that occupies an area of 340 km2 with a coastline of 84 km length. Fisheries are one of the main economic activities of the country in terms of employment generation, contribution to food supply and foreign exchange earnings especially through intraregional trade.

In 1993 the fishing industry in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines used to be predominantly small-scale and artisanal, employing traditional gear, methods, and vessels. Most fishing vessels are open boats and powered by an outboard motor.
