MSC MICHELA

The vessel in the locks of the Panama Canal during the night is the MSC MICHELA, the name is visible on the stern of the vessel.

Built as a container vessel under yard no H3007 by the Shanghai Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Shanghai, China for the Hai Kuo Shipping 1307, Geneva, Switzerland.
28 October 2013 ordered.
26 November 2014 laid down.
28 April 2016 launched as the MSC MICHELA.
Tonnage 94,469 grt, 53,022 net, 110.531 dwt. Dim. 299.87 x 48.2 x 24.8m., length bpp. 283,24, draught 14.5m.
Powered by MAN7B&W 9S90ME-C10 diesel engine, 74,642 bhp (54,900 Kw), one shaft, speed 22.2 knots.
Can carry 9,400 TEUS’s included 1,000 reefer containers.
19 September 2016 completed IMO No 9720512, Registered under Portugal flag with homeport Madeira.
Managed by MSC Shipmanagement Ltd, Geneva.

Used in the PACTB service of MSC from the Pacific to the Mediterranean.
2018 In service, same name and owners.

(There is another vessel with about the same name in the MSC Fleet she is the MSC MICHAELA Imo no 9230488 but she is not depict but transit also regular the Panama Canal.)
