Built as a passenger-cruise vessel under yard no 6232 by Fincantiere Italiani, Monfalcone, Italy for the Carnival Corp., Doral Fl.
10 July 2015 laid down.
08 February 2016 floated out as the MAJESTIC PRINCESS, two sisters.
Tonnage 144,216 grt, 11,277 dwt, dim. 330.00 x 38.40 x 8.60m, (draught), length bpp.306m.
Powered: diesel electric by 4 diesel engines make: Wärtsilä type 2x12V46F and 2x14V46F, total power 62400 kW. Propulsion: by 2 SAM Electronics electric motors each 18,000 kW. 2 fixed propellers, speed maximum 22 knots.
Passenger accommodation for 3560, maximum 4380 passengers. Total maximum passengers and crew 5,600 persons.
30 March 2017 delivered, IMO No 9514141. Homeport London, U.K. Her construction cost according to an agreement between Princess and Fincantieri €600 million.

The cruise ship joined its Princess fleet, in Civitavecchia, where it started its inaugural sailings in April 2017. Its first trip was a five-day Maiden Adriatic Sea roundtrip voyage to Kotor and Corfu, followed by a series of seven-day, 14-day, 21 and 28-day Mediterranean voyages departing Barcelona, Athens and Civitavecchia between April and May.

After her European voyages, she sailed to Asia for her maiden China cruise season.
O9 July 2017 the MAJESTIC PRINCESS was christened in Shanghai by Yao Ming and his wife Ye Li. She conjointly carries the Chinese name, 盛世公主号 (Shèngshì Gōngzhǔ Hào, literally Golden age princess), an interpretation selected by Carnival PLC's China employees, which means "Grand World" or "Grand Spirit" princess.
MAJESTIC PRINCESS is a Royal-class cruise ship of Princess Cruises.
2019 In service, and cruising in February 2019 in New Zealand waters.
