AMSTERDAM cruise vessel

Built as a passenger-cruise vessel under yard no 6052 by Fincantieri Breda, Marghera, Venice, Italy for HAL Antillen N.V., Seattle, Wa.
29 June 1998 laid down.
04 January 2000 floated out as AMSTERDAM, three sisters VOLENDAM, ZAANDAM, and ROTTERDAM.
Tonnage 60,874 grt, 7,381 nrt, dim. 237.86 x 32.25 x 7.80m. Draught). Length bpp. 202.8m.
Powered, diesel-electric by two Sulzer 12 ZAV40S and two Sulzer 16 ZAV40S diesel engines, 31,000 kW, propulsion by two ABB Azipod units (15.5 MW each). Speed maximum 25 knots, service speed 22,5 knots. Fuel consumption of 140 tons (39,500 gallons) of fuel per day at 21 knots speed.
Accommodation for 1380 passengers and 647 crew.
28 September 2000 completed. The building cost US$400 million. IMO no 9188037, Homeport Rotterdam.

MS AMSTERDAM is a cruise ship owned and operated by Holland America Line, named for the city of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. She is the fourth and last ship of the Rotterdam class (R class), which includes MS ROTTERDAM, MS VOLENDAM, and MS ZAANDAM. She was co-flagship of the line along with her sister ship MS ROTTERDAM. As with ROTTERDAM, AMSTERDAM features a multi-million dollar art collection. This includes a three-story, fully functional Astrolabe in the main atrium which took over 15 years to design. During the summer, AMSTERDAM sails around Alaska; during the winter, she makes grand voyages around Asia, Australia/New Zealand & South Pacific. She also sails an around-the-world grand voyage round-trip from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

2019 In service, in February 2019 she was in New Zealand waters.

July 2020 in-bloc sold together with ROTTERDAM to Fred Olsen Cruise Line, for $37 million.
July 2020 she sold from Singapore to Suez where she arrived on 24 July, after passing the Suez Canal proceeding to Limassol Anchorage where she arrived on 26 July 2020. From there she sailed to Rotterdam, where she arrived on 16 August 2020.
August 2020 was renamed in BOLETTE.
She was shifted to the Damen Verolme Rotterdam BV yard for maintenance.
04 September 2020 she left Rotterdam for the Scheveningen Anchorage.
10 September 2020 delivered to Bolette Cruise Ltd, Ipswich. Managed by Fred Olsen Wind carrier AS, Oslo.
Under Bahama flag and registry, homeport Nassau.
17 September 2020 arrived in Rosyth, Scotland.
23 July 2021 sailed from Rosyth to Dover for her first cruise from that port.

2021 In service.
