BASLERDYBLE

Post by aukepalmhof » Sun May 19, 2019 9:05 pm

The ship was built in 1980 on behalf of the BPG (Basler Personenschifffahrt AG) in Linz on the Danube. Technically state-of-the-art, visually from the good old days. It fits like the name to the cityscape of Basel.

Built as an inland passenger vessel under yard no 1272 by the Österreich Schifswerften AG (ÖSWAG) in Linz for the Basler Personenschiffahrt AG in Basel, Switzerland.
Launched as the BASLER DYBIL (meaning Basel Dove)
Weight 141 ton, dim, 35.5 x 7.0 x 1.35m. (draught)
Powered by two GM diesel engines each 177hp.
1960 Completed, homeport Basil.

2019 In service as a sightseeing boat on the River Rhine, for day or evening, trips from March till October.
