Built as an icebreaker under yard No 436 by Wärtsilä Helsinki Shipyard, Finland for the Russian Government.
Launched as the MUDYUG, two sisters the MAGADAN and DIKSON.
Tonnage 6,954 grt, 1,909 dwt, dim. 92.0 x 21.4m, length bpp 75.6m, when built.
Powered by four Wärtsilä Mark ME: 8R 32 diesel engines 13,000 shp, twin shafts, two controllable pitch propellers, speed 16.5 knots.
29 October 1982 completed. Homeport St Petersburg. IMO No 8009181.

Used in the Baltic as an icebreaker.

Widened and lengthened, refitted with a Thyssen-Waas bow and Air Bubble System at Nordseewerke, Germany, in 1986.
Tonnage 6,954 grt, 2,087 nrt, 2,920 dwt., dim. 111.96 x 22.20 x 10.50m, length bpp. 95.52m, draught 6.82m.

2019 In service. Owned by Russian Federation, Moscow.
