Built as a cruise vessel under yard no 6243 by Fincantieri, Marghera, Venice, Italy for the Carnival Cruise Line, Doral Fl.
19 December 2014 ordered.
April 2016 first section laid down.
March 2018 launched as the CARNIVAL HORIZON, the second unit of the Vista Class.
Tonnage 133,596 grt, 12,164 dwt, dim. 323.63 x 37.2 x 8.2m. (draught), length bpp. 287.1m.
Powered: Diesel electric by Carnival Horizon cruise ship is powered by two MAN 14V48/60CR and three MAN 8L48/60CR Tier-II compliant four-stroke engines. The power-plant generates a maximum power output of 62,400kW. The ship has two ABB Azipod XO gear-less steerable electric propulsion systems.
Passenger accommodation for 3,960 passengers and 1,450 crew.
28 March 2018 completed and delivered to owners.

Itinerary

CARNIVAL HORIZON performed a series of cruises from Europe before coming to the United States. She operated Summer Cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda from New York City before the move to Miami in September 2018, where she offers year-round cruises to the Caribbean, replacing CARNIVAL VISTA. CARNIVAL VISTA repositioned to Galveston, Texas.

CARNIVAL HORIZON offers six-night sailings from Miami to the Western Caribbean and eight-night sailings to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
