The patrol boat shown on this stamp issued by Greece in 2019 shows us the ARKOI (050).
Built as a patrol craft under yard No 113 by McTay Marine in Bromborough for the Greek Financial and Economic Crime Unit (SDOE).
1993 Ordered.
Launched as the A/L 50.
Tonnage 250 ton, dwt 46, dim. 47.30 x 7.50 x 2.40m. (draught), length bpp. 43.5m.
Powered by three 16-cyl. Paxman Valenta diesel engines, 3,350 hp, three shafts, speed 37 knots.
Crew 21.
Armament nil.
November 1994 completed.

This ship was used very little by the SDOE which did not even provide efficient maintenance, in fact it was out of service for long periods.
2002 transferred to the Greek Coast Guard and renamed in ARKOI (050).
This is the only ship of this series in service with the Hellenic Coast Guard.
The boat suffered severe technical problems However, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation and Panos and Thanassis Laskaridis, undertook the full repair cost, in recognition of the contribution of the Hellenic Coast Guard by providing protection of the marine environment and policing and surveillance of Greece's maritime border repair, maintenance and activation of the HCG 050 ARKOI. On December 19, 2014, at the port of Piraeus, Miltiades Varvitsiotis, the Hellenic Coast Guard held an award ceremony in honor of Mr. Panos Laskaridis and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, for this donation. The boat is used by the Coast Guard in the eastern Aegean, where pressures from refugee and migrant flows are very large. The boat is not armed but there is a provision to mount an Oerlikon 20mm gun. In 2017, her two Decca radars were replaced by a pair of new JRC radars.

2019 In service. IMO No 9086552.
