Dutch Children's Welfare Stamps 2019.
On 3 October 2019, PostNL will issue a new stamp sheetlet with Children's Welfare Stamps marked with the denomination 1 for mail destined for delivery within the Netherlands. The ten stamps feature the covers of five classic children's books by Dutch writers. One of the stamps shows us a small pusher tug when I was young in the 1950s many inland barges passing the canal near our home did have a pusher tug. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opduwer
The children book De Schippers van de Kamelon (The skippers of the Cameleon) was written by Hotze de Roos and is about the adventures of twins boys with their boat the opduwer (push boat)
The books were very popular by the Dutch children and till his death in 1991, he wrote 60 books in the series which play all around the small Dutch village Terherne in Friesland,
Two Dutch spoken films were made after this books, both are on You Tube.
