In 1980 Grenada issued a set of stamps which shows watercraft. The ½c shows us a “Carib canoe”, which I believe is better known on the island as a “bumboat” of which the Aak to Zumbra a dictionary of the World’s Watercraft gives.

The “bumboat” used on Grenada and the southern Windward Islands.
Open workboat that has become a popular regatta craft. Carvel planked sharp bow, plumb stem, short foredeck, and wide transom, no keel, fitted out with a rudder.
Boomed spritsail set to a light mast; bamboo sprit set high, held by a free-moving jaw; jib to the stemhead.
Reported lengths 4.27-5.5m, beamy, shallow hull.
