KHANDERI (S-22) submarine

Built as an attack submarine by Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai for the Indian Navy.
12 January 2017 launched as the INS KHANDERI (S22), one of the Kalvari class.
Displacement: 1,650 ton surface, 1,775 ton submerged, dim. 67.5 x 6.2 x 5.8m. (draught surface)
Powered diesel electric by 4 MTU 12V396 SE84 diesel engines, ?hp, speed 11 knot surfaced, 20 knots submerged.
Range by a speed of 8 knots, 6,500-mile surface, submerged by a speed of 4 knots. 550 mile.
Endurance 50 days.
Test depth 350 meters.
Armament: 6 – 533mm torpedo tubes for 18 SUT torpedoes or SM 39 Exocet anti-ship missiles. In place of torpedoes, she can carry 30 mines.
Crew 43.
28 September 2019 commissioned.

INS KHANDERI (S-22) is the second of the Indian Navy's six Kalvari-class submarines being built in India. It is a diesel-electric attack submarine which was designed by French naval defense and energy company DCNS and manufactured at Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai.
The submarine inherits its name from INS KHANDERI (S22) which served in the Navy from 1968-89 and was named after Maratha king Shivaji's island fort of Khanderi.
Construction
The submarine was launched in the presence of Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba and other dignitaries on 12 January 2017. The submarine began its sea trials on 1 June 2017.
The submarine was commissioned by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 28 September 2019.
