ROYAL GEORGE HMY 1815

Built as a Royal Yacht after a design by Peake by the Deptford Dry-dock, Deptford for the Royal Family, managed by the Royal Navy.
1813 Ordered.
May 1814 keel laid down.
17 July 1817 launched as HMY ROYAL GEORGE.
Tonnage 330 ton (bm), dim. 103 x 26.8 x 11.6ft, length of keel 88.4ft length of keel.
Ship rigged.
Crew ?
04 September 1815 commissioned, under command of Capt. Edward Berry.
09 August 1817 completed. Building cost £24,258.

15 December 1821 registered as a Third Rate.
1822 Took King George to Scotland and in 1842 Queen Victoria sailed also on her to Scotland, but on this voyage she was towed by the BLACK EAGLE and SHEARWATER. It was her last voyage as Royal Yacht.
1843 Fitted out for accommodation of crews of royal yachts at Portsmouth.
She was broken up in September 1905 at Deptford.
