This small steel hulled passenger-cargo vessel was built under yard No 79 by J. Mc. Arthur & Co., Paisley, Scotland for the Royal Mail Line.
11 May 1992 launched as the WEAR, named after the river WEAR in North East England..
Tonnage 180 gross, 71 net, dim. 36.6 x 6.43 x 2.64m.
Powered by a 2-cyl compound steamengine manufactured by Bow McLachlan & Co., Paisley, 42 nhp., one screw.

1892 After completing together with the TAW based at Grenada and used in the inter locale trade between the islands in the Caribbean.
1915 Sold to T.H.Scott at Trinidad, not renamed and used in the same trade in the Caribbean.
1921 Sold to the French Line (CGT) renamed BALATA with homeport Fort de France. Most probably also used in the local service between the islands in the Caribbean.
1925 Sold for scrapping, a other source gives broken up in 1930 at Martinique.
