275 Destroyer

Post by shipstamps » Mon Jan 26, 2009 5:26 pm

An issue from Cuba shows a guided missile ship, the number on her bow, '275', indicating that she is one of the OSA class of the U.S.S.R., transferred to Cuba. There were 100 of this class built after 1959. They have a larger hull than their predecessors with four large hood type launchers in two pairs, compared with one pair in the torpedo boat conversions. They have a surface to surface missile range of 15 to 18 miles.
