Ms VOYAGER OF THE SEAS, completed in 1999, is the first of five Voyager class cruise ships from the Royal Caribbean International.
It can carry up to 3114 guests, and along with its sisters in the Voyager class is one of the largest passenger ships in the world currently, only Cunard’s QUEEN MARY 2 and Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom class are larger.
Construction at Aker Finnyards in Turky (Åbo), Finland the ship measures 137.276 gross tons on a 64.000 ton displacements. It is 310.90 meter long overall, has a waterline beam of 38.71m and a maximum width of 47.55m and has cost $500 million to build. VOYAGER OF THE SEAS is commonly referred to as a “floating hotel” due to the vast range of cutting edge facilities that offers to cater for all tastes along with some world-firsts for cruise ships when the vessel was delivered.
VOYAGER features the world’s first rock climbing wall (mounted on the funnel) and ice-skating rink at sea.

Built as a cruise vessel under yard No 1344 by Kvaerner Masa Yard, Åbo, Finland for Voyager of the Seas Inc., Liberia.
31 March 1998 laid down
27 November 1998 floated out of her building dock as VOYAGER OF THE SEAS, four sisters.
Tonnage 137.276 grt, 105.011 net, 11.132 dwt, dim. 311.12 x 38.60 x 8.60m. (draught), length bpp 274.7m.
Powered by six Wärtsilä 12V46C diesel engines, 74.544 kW (99925 hp.), 14 MW Azipods, two azimuthing and one fixed, speed 23.7 knots.
Four bow-thrusters and two stern thrusters.
Accommodation for 3836 passengers and 1176 crew.
14 decks.
29 June 1999 trials.
29 October 1999 handed over to Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Nassau, homeport Nassau, Bahamas.

19 November 1999 christened at Miami by the famous German figure skater and Gold Medal winner Katarina Witt.
21 November 1999 made her first cruise voyage with invited guests.
At that time was she the largest cruise vessel in the world.
Now used for world wide cruises.
May 2002 again in service after a refurbishment.

2009 as given by http://www.equasis.org owned by Voyager of the Seas Inc., Liberia, managed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Miami. IMO No 9161716. Still under Bahamas flag and registry.
