Built under yard no 427 as a cargo vessel by Marine Industries Ltd. Sorel, Canada for?
05 November 1977 launched under the name ARISTIPOS.
Tonnage 12.785 gross, 17.524 dwt., dim. 159.0 x 22.86m.
Powered by four 14-cyl. MAN oil engines, total output 13.600 hp., speed 17 knots.

December 1978 in service under the name MARINDUS QUEBEC.

April 1979 sold by Panatlantica Armadora S.A. Liberia to Amstelstad Navigation C.V. (Rotterdam), Netherlands, renamed AMSTELSTAD. Managed by Nedlloyd.
1980 Sold to Nedlloyd LIJNEN b.v., Rotterdam
1980 Lengthened by 27 meters at the yard of Nippon Kokan, Japan, and renamed NEDLLOYD MADRAS in June. Call sign PGDY.
Tonnage as open/closed shelterdecker 10.186/7.154 gross, 6.445/4.243 net, 17.525/12.758 dwt., dim 186.13 x 22.86 x 11.78m., length bpp 174.48m, draught 10.04m.
Cargo capacity 25.020 grain, 22.639 bale.

19 December 1993 Sold to Nicos Vernicos-Eugenides, Vevey, Greece. Registered under Panama flag.
1994 Has been renamed SKYROS by Aque Superiority S.A. Greece.
05 August 2000 the SKYROS rammed and sank the Uruguayan minesweeper VALIENTE in the early hours during dense fog, in a position about 11 miles off Cabo Polonio on the Uruguayan Atlantic coast. The VALIENTE was struck in the engine room around 04.35, which caused her to sink eight minutes later.
At dawn rescue helicopters, two naval vessels from the nearby base of La Paloma and three fishing vessels picked up 13 survivors from two life rafts, they also recovered eight bodies while three crewmen were missing and are believed to have gone down with the ship.
The SKYROS managed by the Greek company Reefer & General Ship Management Co was enroute from Vitoria to the Argentinean port Campana to load 8.000 tons of seamless pipes. Still sailing under Panama flag. She was under command of Capt. Artemios Damigo
The SKYROS anchored later on the road of Montevideo and was detained.
The VALIENTE was the former East German Kondor II type vessel EILENBURG.
09 April 2001 at Rouen, France from Eleusis, Greece, after arrival stayed sometime in Rouen.
04 March 2002 from Cape Town to Greece. Then sold for scrap to India.
28 March 2002 passed Suez Canal underway from Greece to India.
15 April 2002 arrived Alang, India for scrapping.
