A 40 bani stamp shows the motorship Oltenita (Oltenitza), a river passenger vessel built at the Oltenitza shipyard and one of a numerous series, some examples of which are in service on the Danube under the Roumanian flag, while others are running on the lakes and rivers of the U.S.S.R. under the flag of that country, for which 30 more are now on order for delivery by the end of 1965. The Oltenita is a ship of 2,000 gross tons.
