The Abu Dhabi stamp, depicts the patrol launch Baniyas. She was built by Keith Nelson and Co., Ltd., at Bembridge, Isle of Wight, and launched in July 1969. Displacement is 32 tons, length 57 ft., beam 16 ft. and draft 4 ft. Engines consist of two Caterpillar diesels developing 750 b.h.p. and giving a speed of 19 knots. Range is 300 miles. Her complement is two officers and nine ratings and her armament, two 20 mm. guns. Her hull is constructed of glass-fibre.
