Built as a buoy and lighthouse tender under yard No 912 by Rolandwerft G.m.b.H., Bremen for the Iraqi Government.
21 March 1964 launched under the name AL WALEED.
Tonnage 708 grt., dim. 60.4 x 10.5 x 2.63m., length bpp. 51.8m.
Powered by two 6-cyl. diesel engines of 800 bhp, manufactured by MAN at Augsburg. Twin variable pitch propellers and a thwartship thrust propeller forward. Could also be used as a survey ship.
16 July 1964 completed.

2008 As given by http://www.equasis.org IMO No. 6410283 same owner in service at 20 November 2006.
