Built as a collier under yard No 279 by the Clyde Shipbuilding & Eng. Co. Ltd., Port Glasgow, U.K. for Bellambi Coal Co. Ltd., Sydney. N.S.W., Australia.
August 1908 delivered to owners under the name BELLAMBI, named after a place in Australia.
Tonnage 1.162 gross, 705 net, dim. 244.0 x 31.4 x 14.6ft. (draught).
One triple expansion steam engine of 161 hp., the engine room was situated aft.
August 1908 delivered to owners.

1916 Sold to Ballanda & fils, Nouméa, New Caledonia under French flag and renamed SAINT JOSEPH.
Used in the inter-island service in New Caledonia.
1919 Sold to Cie Navale de l’Océanie, Nouméa.
1923 Sold to Hauts Fourneaux de Nouméa, Soc. Anon, Nouméa.
1929 Sold to Soc. Anon Calédonickel, Nouméa.
1938 Sold to Moller’s Towages Ltd. (Moller’s Ltd.), Shanghai, and converted in a salvage vessel, renamed in JOSEPHINE MOLLER and under British flag.
25 December 1941 scuttled at Hong Kong. (other source gives 12 December)
Later raised by the Japanese and became a cable layer, renamed SAGAMI MARU.
August 1945 surrendered to the Allied forces.
Between 1945 and 1949 under control of M.O.T in Japan.
16 August 1950 delivered at Hong Kong to Anglo-Chinese Shipping Co – Moller & Co. and after reconditioning by Ishikawajima Dockyard to a cargo vessel, again in service as JOSEPHINE MOLLER.
1951 Sold to Northern Shipping Co., Hong Kong and renamed PLYMOUTH STAR.
06 July 1952 grounded at Wenchow, on a voyage from Wenchow to Ningpo loaded with general cargo, refloated 10 July and beached for repairs.
After inspection it was found that she got severe bottom damage.
Towed to Hong Kong by British Admiralty tug SALVALOUR for docking.
Declared a constructive total loss there and October 1952 sold to local breakers in Hong Kong.
