CAESAR brig 1832.

Built in 1832 at Deptford, Sunderland, U.K (not a yard name found), for J Collings & Co., London
Tonnage 266 tons, brig or snow rigged. Single deck.
Dim. 94.5 x 25.1 x 17.1ft ( 28.8 x 7.65 x 5.21m)
Official No 25422.

Lloyds Register of 1834 till 1840 gives that she was trading to Demerara. (most probably from London.)
L.R. 1840, trading to the West Indies.
L.R. 1845, gives her barque rigged, and trading to Demerara.
05 Oct. 1854, sold by J Collings & Co., owner became John Humble at North Shields, U.K.
16 March 1864 Owners became Robert Thomas & George Thompson, both of South Shields.
When Shields owned, traded largely to Baltic and Mediterranean.
04 Nov. 1867 on a voyage from the Tyne to Cartagena, Spain, loaded with coal she foundered off Beachy Head in a gale. Crew took to the boats and was 10 hours later picked up by a fishing boat, and landed at Boulogne, France on 17 Nov. 1867.
