KHAN ASPARUCH

Built as a super-tanker by G. Dimitrov Shipyard, Varna, Bulgaria for Navigation Maritime Bulgare, Bulgaria.
Launched under the name KHAN ASPARUCH. (some sources given as KHAN ASPARUKH.)
Tonnage 59.686 grt, 34.681 net, 96.795dwt., dim. 244.5 x 39.0 x 15.5m. Length bpp 233.0m.
Powered by one 8-cyl. Cegielski/Sulzer diesel engine, 23.200 bhp., speed 14.5 knots.
1977 Completed.


One of the few vessels, which carried her own name and was owned by the same owners till she was scrapped.
She was sold by Navibulgar to Indian shipbreakers. She was boarded at Alang on 03 December 2003 and beached for scrapping on 11 December 2003.
