Built as gear-less bulk carrier under yard No. 104 by Georgi Dimitrov, Varna, Bulgaria for Navigation Maritime Bulgare (NMB).
19 August 1972 launched under the name GENERAL VLADIMIR ZAIMOV she was one of the Ziema Bialostocka type.
Tonnage 15.696 grt, 8.707 net, 23..877 dwt., dim. 185.2 x 22.9 x 9.8m.
Powered by one 7-cyl. Cegielski/Sulzer diesel, 11.200 bhp., speed 15.25 knots.
Ice strengthened.
January 1973 completed.

Used in worldwide trade.

April 2007 renamed ZAIMOV and Georgia registry.
Same year by Marianna Shipping Ltd. (Black Sea Shipping) sold to Bangladesh breakers and she beached 13 June 2007 at Chittagong, so it looks her delivery voyage to the breakers was made under that name.
