Built as refrigerated general cargo vessel under yard No 678 by Verolme Scheepswerf, Heusden, Netherlands for the South African Marine Corporation, Cape Town
03 December 1962 keel laid down intended name SOUTH AFRICAN FARMER.
10 August 1963 launched under the name LANGKLOOF, two sisters S.A. HEXRIVIER and S.A. ZEBEDIELA.
Tonnage 6.898 gross, 3.804 net, 10.350 dwt., dim. 521.4 x 68.11 x 25.3ft.
Powered by an 8-cyl 2 S.C.S.A. MAN engine, manufactured by Verolme Machinefabriek IJsselmonde, 9.600 bhp., one propeller, speed 17½ knots.
20 December 1963 completed.


1966 Renamed S.A. LANGKLOOF.
17 July 1977 transferred to All Trade Bulk Carriers Ltd., Bermuda, and in July 1977 renamed at Bremen in LANGKLOOF.
March 1980 Transferred to Monsone Reefers Ltd., Bermuda and renamed MONSONE UNIVERSAL.
1982 Sold to Southern Cross Shipping Company, Greece and renamed AEGEAN PRIDE.
29 August 1984 arrived at Chittagon, Bangladesh for scrapping.

She is on South Africa 1996 1r40 sg 932.
