Built as a tanker under yard No 231 by Brodogradiliste Uljanik, Pola, Yugoslavia for the Polish Ocean Lines.
26 June 1960 launched under the name BESKIDY.
Tonnage 13.716 grt, 7.949 net, 20.259dwt., dim. 170.7 x 21.9 x 9.4m. (draught).
Powered by a B&W diesel manufactured by builders, 8.750 bhp., speed 15 knots.
March 1961 completed.

One sistership the KARPATY.
1977 Sold to Nova Industria Armamento S.p.A., Italy renamed HONESTAS.
1984 Sold to Pibimare S.p.A. de Navigazione, Italy and renamed PIBIQUATTRO.
26 February 1986 laid up at La Spezia, Italy.
1987 Sold to Cantieri Lotti, La Spezia for demolition.
