She is the MOSTANK built in 1952, there was an other MOSTANK built in 1957 but she never carried the name HAMRAFJELL and was not owned by an Icelandic company.

Built as a tanker under yard No 637 by Deutsche Werft, Finkenwerder, Germany for Martin Mosvold, Norway.
03 April 1952 launched as MOSTANK.
Tonnage 11.349 gross, 6.713 net, 16.730 dwt., dim. 549.1 x 68.2 30.4ft. (draught)
Powered by one 10-cyl 2SA MAN oil engine, hp? Speed 14.5 knots.
May 1952 delivered.

1955 Owned by Cia. de Navegacion Martora S.A., Panama, not renamed.
1956 Sold to Cia de Nav. Lajas, Liberia, renamed LAJAS.
The same year sold to Samband Islenzkra, Iceland, renamed HAMRAFJELL.
1966 Sold to Shipping Corp. of India Ltd., India, renamed DESH ALOK.
February 1974 arrived Bombay, India broken up by Abid & Co., Bombay.
