One 5-cyl 875 hp oil engine, manufactured by Fairbanks, Morse & Co., Beloit, USA, speed 13 knots.

After completing used to ferry troops on training exercises around the San Francisco Bay area.

1948 Bought at an auction of the American War Assets by the Collins Brothers of Carmanville, Newfoundland.

05 January 1948 she left from San Francisco, loaded with a cargo of canned fruit for Santiago, Cuba.

She sailed via the Panama Canal.

Before arriving in the Panama Canal they were running in the remnants of a hurricane, in which wheelhouse windows were smashed, and lifeboats lost overboard, but they were able to ride out the storm and arrived safely at Puerto Balboa, on arrival the tanks were empty of fuel, after arrangements were made with the Port Authority she was towed alongside for bunkering.

20 January she had passed the canal, and headed for Santiago, where she arrived on the 22 January, on arrival it was found that one of the cylinder heads was leaking, but by not having the tools on board to do the job, they had to ask on other ships in port for the tools.

After arrival of the Canadian ship CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR the engineers of that ship made the repairs.

After the repairs she headed for Niangua to load coarse salt used for the cod fish-salting at Fortune, New Foundland.

After arrival in New Foundland she was renamed ATLANTIC CHARTER. (The website gives her as ATLANTIC CHARTER II)

1949 Sold to the French Government (Administration Des Iles St Pierre et Miquelon) and renamed MIQUELON.

Later sold to Halifax and renamed GULF STAR.

Later Puddister Shipping, St John, New Foundland became the owner, till she outlived her usefulness.

17 September 1984 at 3 o’clock that afternoon was she towed from St John’s harbour and scuttled in the Cordella Deeps just off Torbay, Newfoundland.
