Otchakoc (or Ochakov), a protected cruiser of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, laid down in March 1901 and launched in October, 1902; completed 1905. Displacement was 6,750 tons and complement 573. Dimensions: 436ft. x 54ft. x 20ft. 6in. Guns: 12 6-in. 45 cal.; 12 12-pdr.; six 3- pdr.; three smaller guns. Two submerged 18-in, torpedo tubes and two above bow and stern. Two sets of 4 cylinder triple-expansion engines developing 19,500 h.p. gave a speed of 23 knots. Later she was renamed Kagoul. Her crew also took part in the revolution and in 1905 she was the first ship in the Black Sea Squadron to raise the Red Flag. SG4120
