Snow White

Post by shipstamps » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:38 pm

Another water buses, the Snow White, is shown by the famous Lanchid Bridge at Budapest on the 10f. value of the recently-issued passenger transport set of Hungarian stamps. These water-buses are built to a standard design and are single-decked with accommodation for 150 passengers. Two Csepel-Diesel engines give a top speed of 12 knots. They can be transported overland and a number are in service in Czechoslovakia. Those on the Danube in the Budapest section bear names taken from the well-known story "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". SG1899
